Range Rules and Hours of Operation

INTERIM RANGE RULES SPORTSMEN INC.

INTOXICATION OR THE USE OF Drugs or ALCOHOL IS PROHIBITED ON CLUB PROPERTY.

Any person who acts in a hazardous manner in any way on club property may be ordered off the grounds by any officer, director or person so designated

In the interest of Safety, there will be no collecting of spent shells forward of the yellow firing line while the range is hot.

All rounds fired must be logged into the (Lead Management Program) logbook.

NO FIREARMS SHALL BE LOADED EXCEPT ON THE FIRING LINE OR READY TO FIRE ON THE TRAP RANGE

NO FIREARMS to be fired or carried forward of the yellow firing line. Unload and rack your weapons when you are changing targets.

When not in use, all firearms shall be racked or carried with actions open.

No person shall go forward of the firing line unless ALL actions are open, and NO firearms are pointed down range and when permission has been granted by the Range Staff Member in charge.

Range Staff Member will be responsible for putting out and retrieving the cone.

SHOOTING AT ANYTHING OTHER THAN PAPER OR PRE-APPROVED TARGETS ON THE RIFLE AND PISTOL RANGE IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

EXCESSIVE RAPID FIRE IS NOT ALLOWED. REASONABLE CONTROLLED BURST OF 3 ROUNDS WITH A 10 SECOND BREAK IS PERMISSIBLE. All shooters must work together on this to limit noise.

Long guns and pistols are not allowed on the Archery Range or Trap Field nor Archery on the Rifle and Trap Field.

SMOKING IS PROHIBITED EXCEPT AT DESIGNATED LOCATIONS.

All trash shall be deposited in the appropriate containers provided for that purpose.

Regarding nonpublic events, A Guest may only use the range when accompanied by a member in good standing, and no more than twice a year, or when special permission is granted by the Board. Persons coming to the range as a guest more than twice should become Members.

VIOLATION OF ANY OF THESE RULES BY ANY INDIVIDUAL WILL BE SUFFICIENT CAUSE FOR IMMEDIATE DISMISSAL FROM THE CLUB

AND SAID INDIVIDUAL WILL BE BANNED FROM THE GROUNDS.

PLEASE REMEMBER, THIS IS YOUR RANGE, KEEP IT CLEAN



PLEASE READ VERY CAREFULLY


You will need to have your Membership Card with you to shoot. The Range Staff Member will need to see your card and put your name down on a log sheet. ***The log sheet is required by the state (Act 250 permit)

At any time these hours can change, should a volunteer not be able to cover their shift. We will try to send an email out ahead of time but it may not always be possible. If you show up to the range and the gate IS NOT open then you can not walk in and start shooting.


We can not emphasize this enough.......NO SHOOTING WILL TAKE PLACE UNLESS WE HAVE STAFF ON SITE.

The range will open starting Tuesday, March 15th.


Currently the Interim hours this week are;


Tuesday, 3/15th - 9am - 4pm

Thursday, 3/17th - 9am - 4pm

Friday, 3/18th - 1 pm - 4 pm

Saturday, 3/19th - 10 am - 1 pm


Starting the week of March 20th the interim hours are;


Tuesday - 9am - 4pm

Wednesday - 9am- 4pm

Thursday - 9am-4pm

Friday - 9am - 4pm

Saturday - 10am - 1 pm



Below are the INTERIM hours the range CAN BE open HOWEVER the range WILL NOT be open if there is not a Volunteer Staff Member on site.


November - March: Monday - Saturday 9-4 and Sunday 10 -4

April - August: Monday - Saturday 9-6 and Sunday 10-6

September - October: Monday - Saturday 9:5:30 and Sunday 10-5:30


We will be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day, Easter Sunday, Fourth of July and Yom Kipper (second day)


We will close one Saturday each month - dates will be set on the yearly Schedule of Events and posted on the club website.

Mandatory Club Membership Orientation

All new members must attend a Club Orientation in order to receive their gate key and use of the ranges at the club. THIS IS A ONE TIME ORIENTATION. Upon completion you will receive your key and your membership card will be validated. The following year, and all thereafter will only require your validated membership card for renewal. New Lead Management Plan

We have our new plan which must be followed. Please be sure you fill in the book with the number of rounds you used that day. No name just the number of rounds. This is a requirement of the LMP and we hope everyone cooperates with this effort. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
